Satan uses the temptation of worshipping other things to keep us from fully knowing the love and blessings God has for us when we give Him first place.
Satan knows if he can get you to make assumptions about what God has said, or even go ahead of God and move out of His timing, you will become discouraged or disillusioned when things don’t work out.

Distraction is a tool of the enemy. If he can get us to focus on something else other than Jesus, he’ll keep us from receiving from the Holy Spirit the very thing we may need.
