Our Lord is aware of our talents, strengths, and weaknesses. He sees our flaws and knows all about our mistakes, but it doesn’t deter him from placing His hand on us.

When you know the Scriptures, you can readily see that one man’s greed and deception led to his deeds of betrayal. The other man’s weakness led him to choices of shame and regret.
Judas made a plan for his betrayal. Peter’s denial of Jesus was impulsive, and I believe, grounded in fear.
One main difference between Judas and Peter was that Judas had a plan.
One of the things that hinders our full dependence on God is a gift that He gave us. It’s called freewill. We get to choose what we will do.
We are saved by grace but we are changed by choice. “This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.” I John 1:5
We are saved by grace but we are changed by choice. We choose to love and serve Him. We choose to obey His commands. We choose to stay out of gray situations and we choose to walk instead in the light of His Word!
“We are saved by grace but we are changed by choice!” We have to make a conscious, deliberate, purposeful decision to allow the Holy Spirit to change us.
Aren’t you glad our Lord doesn’t make a distinction on a person’s nationality, gender, social class, intellect, or outward appearance? Man is wrapped up in those things, but not our Lord. Jesus died for ALL!
All of our busyness is not necessarily bad in its proper place, but it can easily distract us from pursuing a consistent, and lasting relationship with God.
