King David wrote, “The unfolding of Your Words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple” (Psalm 119:130, NIV). I am always so excited when the Lord shines His light on a scripture verse or passage. He always brings a fresh, revealing truth sure to shake me from my mundane thinking. Hebrews 4:12a says, “The Word of God is living and active…” (NIV). If you want to know God better, there is no better way than becoming daily acquainted with His Word. Zoë Life Words is my humble attempt to share with you some of those nuggets of truth my Lord has shared with me. It is my prayer that they will motivate you to read and discover for yourself how wonderful our Father is!

God always has a plan. He’s never caught off guard. Our Lord actively and on purpose orders our steps so that we will experience His plan for us in the midst of life challenges.
To hear God’s voice, we must purposely pursue a dialogue.
Grateful people are a delight to be around. Their attitude of thankfulness embodies what our Lord meant when He told us through the Apostle Paul to be thankful in everything! (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
At one time or another, we all face uncertainty. We want to make sure we are hearing the voice of God so we can submit to His plan for us. So we must trust and do!
“Don’t ever be afraid or discouraged, be strong and courageous, for the Lord is going to do this to all of your enemies.” (Joshua 10: 25) God has promised to fight for us and if God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31)
Our Lord purposely designed us to want fellowship with others, and here’s what’s amazing; our Lord Jesus wants to have fellowship with us!
When we are facing challenges in our lives, big or small, life-threatening or just plain frustrating, it’s so easy to give voice to our fears. Fear doesn’t come from God according to 2 Timothy 1:7, so let’s not give voice to it!
When life gets tough, the voice of our struggle is loud. It can sometimes seem louder than the voice of our God.
While we are admonished not to stand in judgment of others, Jesus told us, “By their fruit you shall know them.” What is the fruit Jesus wants us to to be known by?
Don’t allow the accuser of the brethren to have the last word when you messed up. God has provided a way of escape!
